Fortunate or unfortunate seems to be the
case from the disasterous effects from Phuket. Samui and its occupants
were fortunate to escape, but not fortunate for our neighbours whose
lives were lost or whose lives have been changed from this terrible
ordeal. Our hearts go out to all those affected. Does tourism therefore
in Thailand and therefore land prices drop overall, or does Samui land
take off again. It is our optimistic opinion that Samui will flourish
and possibly experience another 20% increase within the next year.
Healthy Xmas fig's for tourist arrivals, warm weather and a general
friendly mood amongst the locals is a reflection that life goes on and
possibly Samui is a nice safe haven to have a holiday or buy a property.
