The
Report this month notes that there is
a fresh insurgence of interest in Koh Samui from resorts and holiday
home buyers and future home builders. Prices seem to have leveled but
there are still reports of wild offers but not being backed up. The
North appears to be the blue ribbon area to buy but the South, as
mentioned last month, is where a bargain can still be had. The growth in
roadside shop/houses has been enormous, and resort building appears to
be active 24 hrs a day.
Summary: Buyer beware of paying
too much and suggest the North of the island is where the upmarket
suburbs will be and near the airport. Maenam is an ideal location if you
can find a rai or two. Beach building blocks, Seaview building blocks,
Resort land, Commercial properties, Mainland land.
